New Here.....

Post by Bartels »

My name is Tim Bartels I'm from Iowa . I used to have beagles when I was younger but have not had any for a few years . We are moving to the country in a few weeks and my sons 13 and 10 are dieing to get some beagles and start rabbit hunting. I have a line on a couple young ones but if a knows of a good old pup trainer for sale in Iowa or Illinois let me know . I look forward to being a part of this board. :D

Welcome! Check out the trading post from time to time and there will be a hound offered for sale to train pups with. There is also a section on pups only, may pick up some there. Like I have said before, beagles are addictive and like potato chips. Once you have one, you gotta get more. Best wishes and good luck on your move. Too many families don't involve themselves with their 11- and 13-year olds, you are investing time that will reward far beyond the investment.

Welcome, To me there is nothing better than taking your kids hunting and watching their excitement and enthusiasm. Teaching them respect for the outdoors and the animals and having fun at the same time.....What could be better?

My boys are my life they are both more than any man could ask for good grades ,active in sports and church and cant get enough of the outdoors both love to hunt and fish. I cant take all the credit though they have a GREAT mother.I'm just sorry it's taken so long for us to move to the country but I'm sure it will be the best move we have ever made.

Tim, I might know where there is one at. My buddy had on last year and I'm pretty sure he still has her. A 15 inch grade bitch, But for pup running that's all you need. How soon are you looking for one? Give me a call.
