Loosing hair

Have any of you guys seen a beagle just start loosing his hair. What could cause this? There are no sores or dry skin on the places where he is loosing hair.

Malnutrition could do that maybe he isn't gettign what he needs to out of his dog food.

Also I've heard that one wetting in the bedding and laying in it may do this . Just what I've heard .

Could be a number of things. Do you have a picture of this dog and the places where the hair is coming out? How old?

No I do not have a picture of him. He is 11 months old. He is eating the same dog food My other hounds are.

Could be a thyroid or adreanal gland issue, but nutritional deficencies can also cause hairloss. What works for some dogs, doesn't necessarily work for another.
The vet can run a thyroid panel and do a test for cushings sydrome (which normally affects older dogs) and if it's does turn out there are some problems there, they can prescribe meds that will help level out the hormones.
