Hello Slim

You can go to http://www.espomagazine.com web site and all the info is there for you to read on that Q AND A BOARD!!

Yes - you don't have to renew the spo magaine right now - both subscriptions will be added together, so you will get each month that you have already paid for.

Hope this helps you!

Wish you the BEST BEV :!: :!: ;) :) :D  :D :)

What style dogs does the SPO magazine promote? Is it all or just Brace or Midwest. Just curious.

Thanks folks! It is true, and here is Charlie's announcement from the SPO board:

"It is now official, as of June 17, 2003 Clair and I have sold SPO Magazine to Beverley Saunders of The American Beagler. I am 70 years old, not in perfect health, so we are now officially retired and going to enjoy the rest of our lives with some camping, fishing, boating and running dogs. We wish to thank all of the subscribers and advertisers for their faithful patronage and support over all the years. We will still be involved with the magazine and Beverley for a while to make sure the transition goes smoothly. With combining both The American Beagler and Small Pack Option, this will become the largest beagle gundog publication and should be the largest of all the magazines. John Gibble has agreed to write for the magazine and many of our other writers have also agreed to write.
All future advertisements and subscribers should send their information to Beverley Saunders at The American Beagler, P.O. Box 39327, Indianapolis, IN 46239 (317) 356-3303 ph. - (317) 356-3309 fx, and e-mail editor@americanbeagler.net, and web http://www.americanbeagler.com. If you take both magazines already, Beverley will extend the expirations dates so you get the number of magazines you paid for.

Again, Clair and I would like to thank our friends and subscribers, advertisers and writers for their contributions and many years of support. We wish Beverley the BEST, we will be behind her in this endeavor and hope that you will be too."

I felt it only appropriate to let Charlie respond to the questions first, I didn't intend to ignore anyone's question. Separate announcements will come out in the editorials of both magazines in the July issues. I wish Charlie and Clair the best in their retirement and thank them for the opportunity to purchase SPO Magazine.

The American Beagler will not change as far as the multi-registry promotion, the promotion of all kinds and styles of hunting beagles and the people who love them and feed them. It will undoubtedly become a little thicker magazine, and serve more beaglers across the country. The mastheads of both The American Beagler and SPO Magazine will appear on the first integrated issue, August, to avoid confusing the SPO only subscribers when it arrives in their homes. After August, it will return to the regular TAB cover that you are accustomed to receiving. The mission of The American Beagler remains unchanged.... the positive promotion of hunting and trialing our beagles.

Wish me luck, lol!

So there will no longer be an SPO Magazine printed???? and did you attain any control over the espomagazine.com website???

There will not be SPO Magazine after July. Those subscribers will receive The American Beagler instead, but they can expect to see their hunt ads and results like before. The American Beagler will still offer the great articles on training, hunting, etc. and news from the other registries. Yes, we also own the espo website.

Dang Bev, Why dont you send some of that moldy money over here to Illinois!!! Whats next.........The Rabbit Hunter????? I dont know much about SPO but I will be looking forward to reading about it in TAB. Since you will be combining the 2 mags into 1 I am sure it will at least double the number of pages in TAB. Should I warn my mail man to make sure he wears his back belt starting in July?
Congrats and good luck!!!
