Black Gold

I can't stand the smell or loose stools left behind from Purina.

black gold the purina rebate is a good selling tool but if you can afford to give back $4.00 per bag in rebate checks to me that means you over priced your dog food to high to start with but both produce good feed i just like the black gold better.

I fed Purina High Pro and dog chow.
Actually, my dogs did better on the dog chow than the high pro

I have fed black gold in the black, yellow, and red bags.
I currently feed black gold black bag.

Ronnie - just started feeding Black Gold (black bag) 26/18 myself. We'll see how the dogs do on it. I've been feeding a mix of Purina, Pedigree, & Old Roy High Performance and there's a lot of stool. Other than that, they've done well on it so time will tell on the BG. Lets run sometime.

It depends on which Purina you are referring to. If it's Pro Plan, then I would say Purina. If it's Dog Chow or Hi Pro, I would say Black Gold. It's hard to find a better product than Pro Plan.

Dogs I'm running hard and travelling with - pro-plan performance. Lots of energy and ears etc heal up really well. Others I'm running regular get pro plan. Puppies get puppy chow until 1 yr. Older or more inactive dogs get dog chow. Excellent quallity control. excellent quality ingredients, no products imported from Mexico etc. Worth the piece of mind to know it is extremely unlikely to get a tainted batch that could wipe out my dogs.
Where does the ingridients for black Gold come from and do they import products from Mexico? I asked a Black Gold rep and did not get a reply?? I won 800 lbs of Black Gold last year but they are coupons for 20 lb bags and the dealers only sell 40 lb bags so they woon't honor them. Just won 800lbs more this year and will call black Gold and find out if they are going to honor them this year. Black gold has high digestability just like the pro-plan and the coats stay shiny. Wish they would honor the prize they give and wish they would offer the info requested about ingredient requirements. Other than that seems like it is probably OK.

Pro Plan, I have tried almost all of them and this is the best.
