My dad, brother and I all have one. We use 3" with #7 shot. They are the best thing I have ever seen to help the rabbit population.

I use 2.5" shells out of my Contender with a 14" barrel. Deadly on rabbits out to about 25 yards.

Ed, does quite well with his contender. Showed me up on his home turf.

I like smaller shot 7.5 to 8 in 2 1/2 or 3'.

So far, I have used 3 in. 7.5 . however it took me 5 rabbits to hit one.

Forgot to mention, I use 7.5 shot (2.5").
It will flip a rabbit at 25 yards.

I have heard discussion about a super comanche before on this board, what is it and who makes it? I have a Contender with a 16" barrel which I'm told is obsolete and I won't hunt rabbits with anything else.

Here is the link. It is a single shot 410 pistol with a 10 inch barrell. It cost around 150-170. It also will shoot 45s

I hunt with one. I haven't killed any rabbits with it yet but I love to shoot it. I've got a bandolier (spelling) holster for it and it works great....
