I hate when people post pedigrees that are either incorrect, have the wrong spelling, or have the wrong titles!!! And most of all, don't put any title at all.

If you're going to post it, do it right.

The most common:
IFC Branko's Jack of All Trades...he was only FTC
IFC Branko's Copper Boy...he was only FTC
FTC The Elm's Jiggs Maggies Mate...His name was Jigs

Please educate me. I was told the other day that FC is for a dog that was ran out of an enclosure and championed. FTC was a dog that championed inside an enclosure. Is this true or just someones opinion ? Thank you.

Field Champion (FC) is an AKC title - the dog was finished in the U.S.

Field Trial Champion (FTC) is a CKC title - the dog was finished in Canada.

International Field Champion (IFC) is a title not recognized by either registry, but means the dog finished both for both his Canadian Championship and his U.S. Championship.

Now consider that Able's East Coast Trimmer finished for his IFC 3 times over.

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. It's peeves, not peaves.

It allways tickelz me when some body crittisizes some body else for there speling.

I understnad frum yeers of editing that even the moast intelijent people are some times awfull spellerz, I git in a hurry my self and offen have typos and such, it's just the ones that pik on others fore there spellink, and there own poast looks like this when thay do it.

(I'm not aiming that at you, Kip, lol. Pleeze don't take it that away.)

But you know Bev... I'll bet everyone could read that post just fine .... I know I did. I think it's because we read so fast the brain reads between the lines anyway... but hey, that's what spell checker's for !
Same Peeve , when looking at the pedigrees you see that the FC or the FTCH are missing, short changes the hound I think.

Peeves

What about this one... Saying that puppies are out of the male. Puppies are sired by the male and out of the female. A male cannot get pregnant and puppies cannot be out of the male. Sired by the male, out of the female it's that simple. It's the same as with horses etc..

Hopefully nobody took my post as criticism. I really didn't mean it that way at all. I don't think the trial\trail thing is about spelling anyway. It just seems to be one of those words that people mix up. Am I the only one who has noticed that? Man, my OCD is really showing through. LOL.

I don't think anyone took it that way. ;)
