Friend of mine had a bitch that placed 3rd in a LP trial 3 weeks before whelping, LOL!! He didn't realize she was bred. She looked a little chunky that day but you couldn't tell at the time..... but a week later, you sure could tell, LOL! Mind you the pups have lots of hunt.

IM running her now when would the teats begin to show?
On the weight issue, she was overweight for me, but he hadnt run her, so ill watch that too.

also in a tight kennel situation individual pens, and boxs, I had a amish outbuilding with doggie doors in the bottom, would that be alll right to birth in or is would you isolate her from the sight and sound of the running mates

This bitch I just mentioned had her litter in her own kennel box, we noticed her milk came in and checked the box, we didn't think she had them but sure as sugar there were 5 pups (lost one), but did fine with a bit of heat added to the box for warmth, that was late fall. Kept them in there until they were weaned. They were perfectly fine, to each his own I guess, LOL!

You should be able to tell 4 weeks after she's been bred. Her belly will be a little bigger and her nipples will swell. Teats not for a little while after though.

rickhise,

Here is a very informative calendar that describes the condition of your dog...
http://www.schaferhund.com/pregnancy.htm

And here is a link that can give you a lot of useful information, now keep in mind that every female is different and you have to take some of the information with a grain of salt..

http://www.petbitsforyou.com/

I found though both of these sites were very informative...
