Anyone use Penicillin labeled for cattle and swine on your beagles I just purchased some the label reads as follows--Penicillin G Procaine Injectable suspension I was told by the owner of the feed mill where I purchased it that his biggest users were mushers for there dogs, I am looking for a dosage and how is it given either subcutaneous or intramuscular. Thanks in advance Kurt

Sure it will work, but there are better broad spectrum antibiotics out there that can be picked up. Give it I.M.

The penicillin my vet gave me is sterile penicillin G Benzothene and Pencillin G procaine. The dosage is 1 cc per 20 pounds. Can be given intermuscular or subcut. It will leave a knot when given intermuscular. The shot is good for 48 hours. Then can give more.

I give it under the skin. But, you can give it in the muscle.
