Ive been putting salt out on one of my running/hunting places for a few years now. the rabbits just plain eat it up. the deer do too. its gotten where i have to watch where i put it and what i put it under. anyway it has seemed to help some. theres plenty of rabbits but there is also plenty of holes for the bunnys on this place. after hunting glendale for years now and seeing the rabbit population down there and there distribution of salt theres no doubt in my mind it does work. anyone else to this? jon cornett

I've got several pallet piles overlaid with brush. I keep salt under the pallets. I noticed today in the fresh snow, that the rabbits have a highway coming from the neighbors field, up to my piles to get to the salt. Hopefully it's helping!

Yes Salt definetely helps they say it makes their litters larger. Me and a buddy put salt blocks on all our running spots.

When i first was starting my pup back in spring and summer it was a whole bunch of rabbits and now there seems to be alot less but there are more cats what could i do to bring the rabbit population back or just bring more rabbits around and get the cats out of there

I think a domestic cat is one of the worst on a babby rabbit. A big tom will take out a good size one to . I have a fool proof method for them if you need it though.

What kind of salt do you put out and where do you get it?

Any feed store sells salt. block or trace mineral block. you could probably just break it up and send chunks under the brush. I dont think rabbits will eat the dirt to get to the salt like deer?

the best spot to put it would be under brush and logs and stuff?
