Has anyone been to Drummond Island yet ths year hunting? I haven"t been in about 2 years but we are planning a trip the end of this week. Just wondered how the hare numbers were this year, the last time we went there was plenty of hares to be ran.

Whereabouts is this island? I'd like to hunt snowshoe once in my [hound's] lifetime...

It is an island at the Eastern most part of Michigan Upper peninsula.

From Charlottesville, Va. it is about 16 hours driving straight through.
Some of the nicest people in the world live there. I was amazed
at how kind and friendly most of the people on the island treated us.
Over 70% of the 87,000 acre island is public land that you can hunt.
I think that it is about 40 miles from the Canadian border. You'll
have a great time.
