What can anyone tell me about this dog, running style, height and so on. Who were his dam and sire? Who owned him or owns him? Any information would be great, thanks for the help in advance.

okay ill try and answer best i can. akc s&s poison pete was a spo fc. he accomplished this back in the 80's. he died in 1994 at the age of 10. his sire was s&s skip who was a direct del ray stubby male. his dam was smiths nellie sue and she went back to fc wind creek limbo and fc bondsmans bo. the reason he was called poison pete was that the litter he was in was let loose or got out of the kennel and ran loose for a long time. no one could catch him or the others. finally a vet put some sleeping medicine in some meat so they went to sleep so they could get the dogs. maybe someone else could have input on that i dont know but this is what i heard hence the poison prefix. ive also heard that he was poison on rabbits so maybe thats where it came from. he had a littermate brother that was a fc also but i cant remember his name. glenn cole of the silvercreek beagle club had a direct male out of pete, his name was black poison. i had a grandson of petes named eurekas ragged razer and i still hunt with two of razers daughters and one son. id say pete was a medium to medium fast dog with excellent line control and close checks. at one time he was the only dog to have won the ubgf runnoff and derby championship at the same time and year. again someone may be able to confirm that but i know it was two very big trials and he won both. i have a picture of pete and a picture of del ray stubby, the founding dog of the spo movement. hope i have helped some. jon cornett
