I think we are fixen to get wiped out. Make sure you can live without power for a few days if need be.water food . If you have a generator DONT have it in the house. The last two times in st. Louis families
have not woke up in the morning. But beaglers are smarter than that.

Good luck up there.

I live in central Arkansas and the last I heard theyre calling for most of it to stay north and west of us.

My house is all electric so its a real pain in the rear to be without electricity for any length of time.

You folks take care, we'd send some help but they cut back on the workforce and linesmen, called "risk management", well, they may just get to see the risk they've taken... ...the grid has been let go to long. There's a co-op running the plants now and it cycles us up and down like a yo-yo wearing out the equipment. Computers are great with numbers for efficiency but they don't see the "real world" and what their doing to the equipment. The "shirts and ties" that got to the top during the "good times" don't have the "real world" experience to see past the profit margin. The executives with their bonus and stock option plans are bleeding us out, when things turn, it's hard to cut back on the "milk & honey", you get use to a lot of sweets. Our top dawg made 7.2 mil... :yikes:
Good luck to all, winters acomin... ;)

Crazy weather

If I kept my food out on the front porch my hounds would get fat too...

LP gas generator, gas stove, gas refrigerator, oil lamps, gas space heater, wood stove. Snug as a bug in a rug... ;)

Ice is no good, but this snow is what they've been waiting on. My buddies have been in a deep depression not being able to hunt snow. One has relaced his snow shoes 3 times, another has been waxing his snow blower, now that's some deep depression...

The pickup truck's with the snow blades on w/ no snow have really looked silly for the last month... For sale signs are coming off the snowmobiles... :D

Gotta a call from my father-in-law this morning who lives in Pittsburg, Kansas just across the Missouri border. He said they had a mix of everything ice, sleet and snow and lots of the ice. They had power at the time but don't know about now. Ya'll take care down that way.
