Best rabbit gun??
When hunting with dogs I prefer a side-by-side 20 Ga. made by Stoger. I use a 22 when still hunting at night with a spot light.

still hunting???
still hunting at night with a spotlight??? is that dry humor??? i mean, that's not legal anywhere, right:???
i've got an old winchester 20 gauge semi that i have used for the past thirty years or so. it was old when i got it, passed down from my dad, if i remember correctly. great on rabbits and squirrels. old enough that you don't have to worry about it. shoots where you point it. points real well.
was victimized by a burglary a few years ago and they got my duck gun, among other things, started bringing the 20 duck hunting a saw a considerable improvement to my hunting ability. i said my hunting ability for a reason,,,not only did my shooting improve, but my hunting improved as well. knowing that i didn't have "enough" gun, i tried to maximize all of my opportunities, payed attention to decoy placement, blind, wind and all other concerns. became a decent caller as well,,,, learned patience. hunted this way for a number of years. turned out to be a good thing as my skills improved considerably.
that little winchester 20 is a good, reliable and versatile little gun. throws 6's and 4's real well.

Best Gun for Rabbit Hunting?
It all depends on where I am hunting!
In the Thick stuff I use a 20 ga Rem. Auto with a 21" barrel that was a 26" ImvCyl.
In the thinner Stuff I love to take one of my many .410 ga's - depends on my mood if I take one of the Pump's or Auto's.
So I guess I like the Rem 20 ga Auto and the .410 ga's

best gun
The best rabbit gun I ever owned was a Stevens model 58 bolt action. It was old as dirt and didn't have a choke. I was deadly with that gun and never bothered to put more than two shells in it.(mainly because the clip was broken and I couldn't find a replacement)(LOL) That gun was a pure rabbit slayer. The boys use to laugh when they saw it, but at the end of the day I had always killed the most bunnies, but I was considerate and let them tote the sack.(LOL)(LOL)

Guns? Yall cheat. I either just pick up a few round rocks or carry my sling shot with those round balls from wal-mart.

weapon of choice
talk about cheating,,,, you BUY balls to put in your slingshot??? personally, i took one of those long reeds you get down by the river and made a blowgun, started out blowing chinaberries at them swampers,,, but that only seemed to stun some of them, you'd have to run up and knock 'em in the head with a stick and sometimes they'd get away. so i started making little darts out of those palm stickers they got out in the swamp,,,, i would soak the tips in some neurotoxins i got from milking rattlesnakes,,, sometimes that would be too strong so i would cut it with cottonmouth juice. it works good unless there is a heavy rain. in which case you sometimes have to use that stick after all.
