Cottontail Breeding, Who has the best right now (Breeding)

What breeder has the best cottontail dogs? I'm not looking for one dog but a line of dogs that consistantly represents the values sought after by the breeder.

If you don't mind, could you describe the line based on averages. Example, if you were looking at 10 dogs out of the line the average dog would be early on the track prior to the rabbit being jump ect....

On Average:
What kind of Hunt?
How honest with Mouth?
What kind of Speed?
What kind of Control?
How does the line handle a Check?
What kind of Staminia?

Any other pros or cons would you like to mention about the line?

Thanks,
Jack

From what I can tell.... Don Bramlett has the complete package for a solid cottontail dog.
Extream hunt.
Good clean mouths.
Upper Medium speed.
Great line control.
Above average check dogs.
(return to the point of loss)
And no quit!
I've seen a lot of good dogs, and I've saw several from this line that convinced my he's consistently producing the above type of dog.
Don does not trial any more... but his dogs are doing well in both ARHA PP and LP.
Failure to prepare, is preparing to fail.

Now the dog I think that throws outstanding cottontail hounds is a LPH Hall of Fame hound with 30+ wins. The cottontail attributes my hound displays are common with most other like breed hounds that I have come into contact with. The Bloodline is Ranger Dan. Hounds from Dan are outstanding cottontail hunting dogs.

Of course we all have heard about Wright's, B&W, Shorts, Gay, etc. Can anyone tell me about the Flat Creek dogs? Maybe post a pedigree. Not even sure if this cottontail or not but I think they may be by what I limitedly heard.

Flat Creek Kennels is located in Virginia. For cottontail dogs they are right up there with the best, seem to cross well with other lines. This line is usually known for hunt/jump and good noses, they are rabbit dogs..ZT Wells has a real nice stud FC Flat Creek Leroy. I have his pedigree and you can see it on the espo website on the pedigree creator..It originates with Bill Wright and his FC Shake dog.

I like northway, patch, and sock it to me, from what I have seen, they all have good hunt, good foot, good mouth, and brains.
