Cut down trees to make them cover and they will stay around. Then work on food plots.
Clover, Wheat, Sorghum, Sericea Lespedeza, Oats, Alfalfa, Corn.

Every year (around new years), I go around and pick up discarded Christmas Trees, and pile them around my property, works great for me. Rabbits love them, and great for getting pups into brush piles. Hope this helps.

Another thing when we cut the trees down usally there 3-4inches in diameter. But we cut them on a slant about 3-4 feet off the ground. That way its harder for the predators to get threw it. It's kinda like a pungee stick if somthing were to fly into it.

Here in the deep south you got to have tons of cover. We have actually been joked with about being briar farmers but that is what it takes to raise rabbits cover cover and more cover. Don't be afraid to fertelize your natural cover here that is blackberry bushes and honeysuckle.Make food plots very narrow strips with access to cover in every direction. ther are to many predetors on the ground and in the air for large openings. We also throw out alot of salt bricks in the cover. This has worked for us. Good luck!!

I have about a dozen wood pallets. I'm going to put them in my smallest field that has been left natural with taller grasses, wild roses, and low hanging cedars. I'm going to scatter them around and cover them with brush. I'm hoping the pallets give the rabbits a desirable place to stay under all the brush.
Has anyone tried using pallets like this before?

We actually took 2 trailor loads of pallets up to our property at our cabin. And scattered them all around the field edges and places we know there is rabbits.
We piled trees and brush on most of them, sorta used them as the base for the brush piles.

I was only hunting up there once this year. And there was definately more rabbits then there was before. But we cut down alot of trees to make cover for them.
This year in the spring we are going to plant seedling pine trees for rabbit and grouse cover.

Double stack, they seem to like it better, plus the dogs aren't able to drag them out as easy.
