I was just wondering if anyone had got caught swapping papers on dogs, or finding out a dog wasnt out of what it was really suppose to be out of?

Havent heard much about DNA testing in awhile.

I don't about BEAGLES but there has been a few coons their DNA didn't check out --some of the guys are breeding their feamles to --two different studs and DNA the pups ---when the old female might her last litter--

Happens all the time with commercial breeders.. Those of us who really care about what we are doing will do things right ;-) You can have a dual sired litter if you DNA all the puppies and Parents.

it is done in the bulldog world all the time,two sires then dna the litter.

if you ask me its a waste of time and money. if you do not have dna from a female whos to say that those pups are out of her. as far as im concernd its just a way for them to pump 40 more dollars out of our pockets if you dont have dna from the sire and dam what good is it doing just my 2

If you buy a pup that both parents are DNA cert. atleast you know for certain on what you are getting and have recourse if you get ripped off.

swing, how were you able to get back on the board? What did the problem turn out to be? Others are having the same trouble so maybe I can help them. What did you do?

What dog are you wanting to put papers on? LOL

I turned off my pop up blocker and it worked, dont know if that was the cause or not.

Back to the DNA thing, I heard through the grape vine that a guy pulled a fast one on a DNA test, and it went through and the pups are not out of who they even said they were.
This was second hand info, and you know how that go's but if thats so I figure the DNA thing is a scam.

It's a scam,, till that puppy owner dna's his puppy,,,,, THEN IT'S A PROBLEM!!!!! Unless none of this data gets checked by the AKC?????????

AKC does random checks. I have had an inspection and the AKC inspector DNA'd a litter of puppies I had and both parents. Thats the way people are found out if they are not honest. They do random checks. Only dogs used frequently for breeding are required to submit DNA so, if you are not using a stud dog often then you don't have to do it. As with all info you get from someone its only as good as the person that gives it. If they are dishonest then they are dishonest in all things they do.

I felt the same way as you do dogwhisperer when I was buying pups from beaglers who had several litters of pups sometimes days/weeks a part in age out of the same stud with different females. That's why I DNA all my hounds males/females once I decide they are good enough to be bred. Having both parents tested is a big plus when selling pups/young hounds because the buyer don't have to wonder who the parents are. If your like myself and don't sell puppies only started hounds with potential then there's another plus because only the good ones make it to get tested and the bad ones get....... My good name and reputation is worth more to me than having a few hundred dollars and a disappointed beagler. John
