Long story short ,The best dog I've ever owned hurt her back ? She has 2 license wins. She didn't jump off a tailgate. She would wrestle alot with the other dog in kennel. Anyway I don't know. The Vet said 5% percent chance of full recovery. I was\am devastated . Three weeks into this she's not any better.Steriods and pain killers muscle relaxers. She started to show little improvements. So I got to thinking what about chiropractor? Found 1 close to home. Went to Community Chiropratic in Easley S.C. The Doc had me walk her up the hall and watched her stand still. She said I can fix that dog!! The very first treatment is a 30 minute ride in traffic. The dog slept home. I got her out of the Truck and she TROTTED to the kennel the first time in almost a month. Well 4,5 treatments later she is almost her oldself and I can start to work her slowly back in the pack over the next month. I still can't believe it. Anybody ever heard of this?

Never heard of this but, Sounds Great to me. That is Awesome that the doc could fix her up. I had a Dachshund that had back injury and best I heard from the vet was same treatment you were getting or a trip to Purdue $800 and no better chance then the treatment of steriods and muscle relaxers - 30 days later she managed to walk for another 10 years to the ripe old age of 18. But she was not a hunting dog either. I am happy for you and hope her recovery continues to normal. cya, Hunter

Many times at dog shows you will see a dog massage therapist and a chiropracter there working on the dogs. The dogs do get better. I personnaly know a canine dog massage therapist and when our dog pulled a neck muscle she found it and fixed him right up, showed me how to continue treatment. Before that I had taken him to the vet the vet thought it was a pulled toe nail and many other things, she laid her hands on him felt all his muscles and says Look right there feel that it is a pulled muscle, and she went to work on the boy. He was better right after that.

Thats wonderful that you got someone to work on her. We have a papillon with Spondylosis which is a degenerative disease of the vertebra and we've tried a lot of medications for him. What works the best is Glucosomine/chrondroitin which is the same thing I take for my knees.
