Way to go! Coonhound Bloodlines used to give away a coonhound pup a month a few year ago. Called it the Red Fern Award. Had a list of breeders willing to donate quality pups.

Another proud & warm minute. Our season opened yesterday day. With the weatherman calling for rain and my youngest daughter who is 11 and up and ready at 5AM for her 1st gun hunt I can't say no. We had about
3-1/2 hrs. of running time before the rain.We jumped 4 or 5 and all ran pretty good, she saw the first 2 rabbits a couple of times but couldn't get off a shot, but she was ready by the 3rd rabbit and made a good running at you shot, I never loaded my gun,I was so tickled helping her, I just plain forgot.lol Well some may be thinking I'm a proud daddy , that my kid took her 1st rabbit, and I am,but I'm more proud of the fact that it kinda bothered her killing a critter, she talked to me about it on our way home.I'm about 100% positive she'll take wild game for many years to come, but I'm proudest to know she's got a heart and good common sense & morals. These are the things hunting can instill in our kids, hence the reason for this contest.

I think you said it all right there. At least she will have a better understanding and appreciation of herself and you. and where we fit into the system. Good job on this pup idea and God bless you and the family.
