Earlier this year I had rabbits everywhere in my yard and woods but now it seems that it is getting very difficult to find rabbits in my vincinity. I did find a dead rabbit rabbit with a missing head in my side woods the other week. I wonder if this population decline is isolated to my property or others are experiencing rabbit population decline in their hunting grounds.

I've found that the rabbit population is up quite a bit from the last couple of years in my area (Columbiana County) -Stacy

I have noticed a few stray cats roaming my woods and I wonder if they are not killing many of the rabbits on my property. Just a month or so back the dogs would have a rabbit up within five minutes of hitting the tree line but now it takes much longer to produce a rabbit.

My cousin does custom combining. He cut 600 acres of beans near Ada,Ohio and saw only 3 rabbits............

We live in Bowersville, in Greene County. The rabbit population here seems fine. As good or better than in the past few years. We had some ground pounding running here yesterday!

Good pop. in Northern VA this year also. Could be something to do w/ rabbits ranging farther as food gets harder to find, although it seems a little early for that...

The population in the Lima area seems to be way low. We had litters early that had a good survival rate due to mild weather. I think if the population hits it's peak, disease sets in and thins them out more than anything. I don't have scientific data to support this but I do know it is cyclical.

I live maybe 30 minutes from you and we have a ton of rabbits this year if you came to the Performance pack world hunt you would have seen how many. we even saw babys still
