I am thinking about purchasing a 2 dog shock collars system and was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on the Innotek IUT-1002 model or other Innotek models.
How does Innotek compare with Tri-Tronics?

I have both. Tritronic's is the best The innotec works fine but they don't hold up as well.

I've never owned an Innotek collar, or a Tritronics for that matter, I own a Dogtra. Before you buy an Innotek collar, be sure to do a search on this board on "shock collars". There's a lot of posts on here really cutting down Innotek, more so than any of the other brands.

I had an Innoteck last fall (ADV 1000). It spent more time back with the factory then with me,, Petsmart gave me my money back on the last problem!!! I never could get the u-nits to recognise each other after recharging the collars.

I have owned one Innotek and two of my hunting buddies had Innotek at the same time and you could not sell us another one. They just do not hold up.
I will be a diehard Tri tronics user from now on.

I had a innotek command series up till 3 years ago.The first two years it worked fine and then it would work every once in a while. The last time I used it the one collar started smoking while it was on my dogs neck.I switched to Tritronics the next day and will never use anything else.In my opinion you can not beat Tritronics.Brian

I have a Tritronics 4 dog Classic 70 G2 system that I am tickled to death with. I ussually just run 2 at a time but you never know when a buddy will bring his entire kennel and need some help. They have very good range and are lightweight. I stopped 2 young hounds a year and a half ago dead in their tracks with it, they were chasing a deer and it stopped them cold. I would recommend them to anybody!! Tom Clouse

If you plan on staying in beagles for a while buy the best. Buy TRI-TRONICS. Whatever you buy make sure it doesn't have an antenna sticking out so that the dog gets caught up in the brush. If you buy a long range model be careful not to overshock. Shocking on a 2 or a 3 will likely cure anything. Also MAKE SURE the dog is running off game BEFORE YOU SHOCK. i SAW A DEER CROSS THE ROAD AND I STOPPED TO put a young dog on it. The dog opened right away and I let him run about 20 yards. He made a turn and ran a rabbit right past me. Could have easily shocked him off that rabbit track and caused real problems. Be very careful with whatever system you buy. I like to wear the collar on the dog for a couple of weeks before shocking with it so the dog doesn't get collar smart. I don't like weasring the shock collar on them forever because I prefer having a tracker on them. Good luck! Dan M

Thanks for the great advice - and I took it and bought a Tri-Tronics Classsic 70 G2 dog system. Got a good deal on a brand new model at a closeout price due to new exp model coming out.
Again, thanks fellers. :D

Where is the best place to buy the 70 G2? I found one place that sells the 2 dog system for $389.00 -tax,title, shipping. Is this a good price?

Check out their closeouts. I bought a Classic G2 two dog for $324.00 shipped. I think they sold out of that model but they have some other closeouts that look really great!
