What is the best way to introduce a new pup into your pack? I mean a pup that is just 8 or 10 weeks old?

I would work on bonding with him and yourself first. Get him used to you and his new surroundings and work on yard training him first. Then I would get him used to leash walking and handling enforcement and then when he is older and more confident bring out one dog at a time and walk with him and do this for a day or two then introduce him to another pack member...

I think off your property so the old dogs don't try and let the new pup know it is there place. I have taken them to a neighbors yard to meet for the first time and worked ok. jmo, Hunter

BB-12, is this Alan? I am real happy with the dogs. They are super when they are on a rabbit. I still have problems with deer. I took them to John Mike in Pike county and they wre ok for a while then back onto the deer. I am going to call John and see if he can give them a refreser course. The pup is one I am going to get. It hasn't been born yet, plan on getting another one from Lynn Perkins. I feel like he did me right the last time.

Good to hear from you. Are your running any? It won't be long and the summer heat will shut us down during the day.

We put Ole Scooter on the living room floor when we brought him home from Alabama and let our other three out of their kennels to decide whether he was worthy of our pack!!!! I'll bet he never saw that much nose EVER!!!! NOW HE'S A TAKING OVER!!! He keeps asking me about some hound named Rowdy,, lives over there in his home State of Alabama????

LOL LEG. Haven't heard that one in awhile. Still makes me laugh. Don't read to much into the other places thing. Nothing real glamorous. I did spend more than one night running up and down Victory Drive. Retited now but still live in Fayetteville.
