To give a minus or not to give a minus?

I posted this subject under fielf trials, but it seems that nobdy has an opinion. I was wondering how people felt about judges that don't give a minus quick enough. Or when judges are to quick to give minuses to dogs in a cast. Please don't be shy. Chuck

To quick or not quick enough????? If a dog makes a mistake then it should be minused and a dog that does something correct should get rewarded! I cant see how it can be any easier!?!? TAKE WHAT YOU GOT COMING AND SORT IT OUT AT THE END!

All of these are judgement calls there is no sorting at the end. For example say you in a cast everybody sees the rabbit go from the swaamp to a field and the judge follows. When the dogs get into the field they can't do anything with the rabbit, but the handlers see the rabbit come out of the field and goes back into the swaamp. You tell the judge you seen this. The dogs come back and hit the track where the rabbit went back into the swamp. Two dogs follow the rabbit in the swamp, but are tight mouth enough not to say anything until they are sure. Meanwhile one of the other dogs tracks the track backwards into the field pulling all the dogs with him. The judge folllow the dogs back into the field the track blows up and there isn't any minus at the end of the cast. Chuck
