I have Tri-Tronics for over ten years with no problems. I don't think you can go wrong with them. JMHO....

never had the dogtras but the classic 70 g2 is a great system. The turn off turn on on the collar is a great addition. it is easy lightwieght and you have to only charge them something like 2 hours before they are fully charged.

I have TriTronics and Dogtra and will tell you I would never invest in the Dogtras again. Tritronics forever for me!! I can not depend on the dogtras in the field!!!!!!

tiffinis,

When was the last time you tried Dogtra? I have 3 separate sets of the 1800 series for two years now with no problem with any of them and they have great distance capabilities too with tons of shocking ability. I have noticed that Tritronics' new system has copied a few Dogtra features too. Just my thoughts and experiences.
I'VE GOT SOME DOGS THAT ARE GONNA HURT SOME FEELINGS!!!!! I just hope it's not mine. Home of Wild Hare Kennels and FC Creek Woods Blue.

I just bought a new 2 dog system from Dogtra last year BECAUSE of the added distance capabilities. But they are not dependable. I can turn them on and they are fine. No low battery flash or anything. Then 10 minutes later, they dont work at all. I have had a couple situations with them that left me very frustrated. I will use them on my property, but I will never take them in the hunting woods. I truly wish I had spent the extra $100 and gotten the Tritronics 2 dog system. I have 2 labs and 2 patch beagles.
