Just happened to see you were on same time as me and thought I would give you a shout. Happy Spring Time!! It was a long time coming for us this year. I have been searching the web for a place to move to in the the next couple of years. I want to get closer to the people who share the same interests as me and get more active in trials and just plain old running. We were robbed of this years season up here and I want to spend less time in and more time out. Whats new on the horizon with your breeding schedule. Any new pups out of those hard hitting hounds of yours? Red or Blue-tic maybe? Keep me posted on your goings on as I already know, you know, that I know that you know what I like in a hound!
Hope to see you at a trial in the near future as soon as I get things calmed down around here.

Hey Mike,
How are you? Long time. I bred a nice red branko female, out of Magnum force to HH Thunder. I couldn't make it to Philly to breed to the red hare hound that is a grandson of Texas T. Thunder is a very nice dog. The first hunt I took him to he won first in field and best of show. Fast, with line control. He really performs to the gun. Well the dog had the pups early. On the same day we received 10 inches of sleet. None made it. My fault, I should have brought her here to the house. I have a very nice 2 year old branko female out of Lumberjack that I'll be breeding to grand champion, hall of fame, 2001 world champ. Blue II. Most of these pups will be bluetick. She has some ticking in her white. I ran Rose two days ago. She circled the rabbit 4 times, with only 3 break downs of no more than 10 seconds. What a chase! She drove that rabbit, never opening in the same place more than once. I leashed her at the hole. I also have another Lumberjack female that I'm developing. She's also a grand-daughter of Northway Ninja. I have another cross in mind for her. I'll tell you about it when the time is right. If she can make the cut. So far so good.
Mike if you want to move where rabbits are, try KY, OH, IN or even Eastern NC. The state of VA seems to cater to Deer hunters. I've never seen rabbits run better than in IN at those reclaimed strip mines. AWESOME! How is Rockets brother doing? What kind of pups is he throwing. I have a fast, hyper red female that I would like to breed to him. So as Bob Barker would say, C'mon down!

Nate,
Sounds like you have some exciting stuff going on! Blazer is doing great even though he is geting a little grey in the muzzle.

He still can hustle. I have never offered him for stud to the public but the times I bred him to my females and my buddies Ninja bitch and all tirned out good. His pups are huntng fools like him and very fast learners. China (my buddies bitch) is a daughter of Ninja. As a matter of fact we belong to the same club as the man who owned Maravics Ninja. I personally never saw the hound when he was alive but I can tell you this China is a no quit all business hound. She was an excellent cross to Blazer and I got the pick of that litter and that is where I got Chickadee. Chickadee is a medium to fast hound when run in a pack and when run solo just about a medium. She is really more of a PP hound and not LP. But she was running her own rabbit at 5 months and was the earliest starting hound I ever owned including my Rising Sun hounds. She is a gorgeous Blue-tic and has perfect conformation and would do well on the bench. That is why I would like to get my paws on a Blue-tic x Red cross male blue-tic pup that is from similar background. I have a feeling we will be doing some stuff together in the future. By the way when Paul had Blazer he bred him some and has some ARHA champions that were sired by Blazer. The tough thing for Blazer is that he had to play second fiddle to Rocket when he was their. But that is OK because it is the reason I ended up with him and I love this hound as you well know. Keep me posted on the pup situation and when you want to breed to Blazer let me know. I am certain you would never regret the decision! He can smoke em on snow and sod and is a real fast claimer. By the way he also at times retrieves the rabbit and brings it to me after it has been shot. He is the only hound I ever had that did that. Good running and keep in touch.

PS I just bred Blazer to Mousie Blue. She is Rockets daughter which makes her Blazers niece. I have made this cross before and got super pups so I hope it works out this time. You saw her in New Jersey when I ran her and Blazer.

Nate, I don't know you personally, but a co-worker here has got a few dogs from you and speaks very highly of you and your dogs. Seeing that you are from Virginia, I was interested in knowing what club you belong to and what you had available. I am looking for either a older pup trainer or a young energetic jump dog. Thanks in advance. If you have anything, I can discuss my likes/dislikes at a that point.

Nate, Those pups you sold me are the hardest hunting to find a rabbit of any pups I have ever seen. They have been searching to catch under everything since they were able to walk.
Only one out of four has ever run a deer and they see plenty four times a week. Naturally broke, just not interested, never seen that before either.
They are fast, but only 131/2 inches tall.
Just saw your post and wanted to give you an update!

John,
Give me a call, I have a fast, hard hunting female. 14", tricolor and a very good squall mouth. She's nice. Give me a call.
