i've been feeding hi-pro for about 2 months or so... been having good luck with it so far.. i just bought 300#'s friday.. feed my dogs friday afternoon and went out saturday morning and every dog in the kennel had the runs.. i could see this happening if i had changed routine but like i said i've fed this now for over 2 months.. has anyone else experienced this happening? would one batch of feed change from another? kevin

Im feeding it and it seems like every bag is different. I have had some good bags and some bad bags.
The stool is yellow and pretty loose when this bag is over im switching to something else.

I switched to Hi-Pro for a while after the Diamond troubles and all my dogs had bright yellow, loose stool. They appeared fine - such as coats, etc., but I switched away from it b/c of the loose stool.
I'm now using the Co-op's premium brand of dog food and have been happy w/ it so far.

i switched to it after the DIAMOND situation also and had similar experiences as Briarhoppers with the hi pro. after a couple bags, i switched to purina pro plan and purina ONE and am really happy with it. i used to use hi pro in the past and stilli think the it is good food but it just didnt seem to work for my dogs.

I used it for over a year now , and my dogs get hunted four times a week if not more, and they look and are doing good.

Pete ,their stool seems to be solid , no runs, and they dont have to strain as bad as they did with the diamond food that I was using, which was a big concern for me,even before the diamond problem came. I have been feeding hounds for over 30 years with purina and several years with joy dog food and never untill I started feeding diamond have I had any problems . I buy my purina now at a pallet at a time and sell it to friends and get a very good price.

I used to feed Hi-Pro and they had alot of loose stools. When they weren't loose it seemed there was always alot of excess. I switched to Pro-Plan and there stools now are always solid and half the amount to clean up. They seem to have alot more energy now also. It's a bit more expensive, but worth the price.

I used to feed Hi-Pro and Pro-Plan and had problems with stool and coats. Switched to Pride and haven't had any problems so far.

I went from diamond to Hi- pro. Also had the loose stools. Since I have started feeding Buckeye which I can get from the local feed store and my dogs seem to be doing as well as ever if not better.

I feed the hi-pro. Really like it. Do deal with occasional runny stools.... but pretty good for the most part. Dogs en ergy is real good and coats are fair.
For the price I can't beat using it. I buy it at Sams Club and after collecting points for rebates in one year it'll d0rop it to about 10 dollars a 50 lb. bag.
I can deal with occasional loose stools for that.

I feed Hi-Pro and don't have any problems. When I first switched over there was a change for a week but that is the way with changing any pets diet. I am very satisfied with the way it does my hounds.

I had the same problem switched to Purina One. Call Purina they made good on the two bags of Hi Pro that were junk. Really a good company to do business with.
