I think this site needs a stud dog listing. I am looking for a open blue tick directly out of turbo in central ohio 14 to 15. I think a stud topic that would hold listings would be very beneficial for breeders. This would help people promote their Kennels and help produce excellent crosses. What do you think?

KyBoy, do you get the TAB magazine? I think she had a note about the stud dog book in there. Be patient, it will come.

It's almost spring now and I don't have a clue as to the many different stud hounds out there that this book is suppose to cover.By the time we get the stud book(maybe this summer)the females will be out of season waiting for the next. But I'll still buy one in hopes of using it in 2007.The TBA magazine itself doesn't carry many stud ads, maybe the stud business is to hectic and most don't want to be bothered with setting appointments then the person cancel or they bring the female to early or other problems assoicated with the stud business. John, the biggest delay is indeed getting the materials from the stud owners. Some I've had for a long time, others I'm just getting. The stud book usually features around 60 hounds, and contains articles pertaining to breeding, genetics, whelping calendar, etc.

It's kind of a new venture in beagling - there have only been 2 beagle stud books printed, so it will take people time to get into the routine of it. People want the book, but yes, it's hard to get some stud owners to actually advertise - even though the cost is very reasonable. This coming issue is also open to kennel ads - litter ads, etc, so it's not just for the sires - dams and their future litters can be advertised.

Thanks for your patience.

sounds like a really good idea. its hard to find a good stud dog sometimes.
what i would like to see is what the stud dog is producing in past litters.
were do you send info to advertise a dog?

Send any Stud, Dam, or kennel ads to:

The American Beagler
P.O. Box 39327
Indianapolis, IN 46239

You buy the space at the following rates:
Full page = $150
Half page = $75

You can have more than one stud per page - it's your space to do whatever will reasonably fit. Same with Dam/Upcoming litters/Kennel ads.
