Has anyone down south seen any baby wild rabbits yet? Too early in Ky I think, especially with the cold.

There are baby rabbits about 1/4 grown behind my barn here in Indiana. They are driving the dog in the kennel nuts.

Don,

I am located close to Terre Haute. Some of the tracks in the snow could be covered with a quarter. I tracked that little rabbit from the barn to under the front porch. He couldn't have been more than 4 or 5 inches long.

Thats what Lance said never to know him to lie.
I will send the pitchers by Lance on sat.

Same news here in Virginia. We've had some very warm days recently (60-70), and I'm out every morning. I haven't seen a baby rabbit yet. Can't be much longer. Speaking of baby cottontails, has anyone ever been able to catch them and raise them in hutches? I am hoping that I can somewhat dometicate a pair and then use their offspring to train my pups on. Sounds feasible, doesn't it? :dunce:

The baby rabbit that is living under the front porch is getting big enough that he is chewing a larger hole in the plastic lattice. Boy, did I get in trouble with the boss. I said there was no use to put up new lattice until the rabbit was gone. Hope that works.
