BEWARE!!! I had sold Dennis McCaig of Mo. some dogs and when he went to pay for them he talked his girlfriend (poor Girl) into writing a check for them telling her that he would put the money into her account. (found this out from her mother) Well, when I ran the check through my bank it came back insuffient funds. I have made several attempts to contact him and so far he hasn't been MAN enough to return my calls. Anyone doing dealings with Dennis, had better make sure they get CASH!

Howard, I have sold Dennis McCaig many dogs. He has paid me by check and with cash. I have never had a problem with any of his checks. I think Dennis is a good person. I don't know what happened but I am sure you will get paid. I have bounced a few checks in my day or my wife has.LOL! I just talked to Dennis. This problem will be corrected soon. I just don't want ya'll to ruin The Hook's reputation over one mistake. Talk to you later. Clay Richey

Well where do I start since it is so easy to run someone down on this board Howard lets start with you you were there and you never heard me say anything about putting money in her account she said the money was there that is all I can go by your money is on the way I have been sick the last few days so I haven't been around the phone but I did respond to your pm's and if you got a bad check it wasn't for me and how are you going to go by her mothers word when she wasn't even there you had the check with the girls name on it and her phone number why didn't you call her and ask her what was wrong but if I had written youa check after seeing those dogs run I would have stopped payment on the check because you lied talking about the dogs the red dog is mouthy and scared of the water the black and tan can't run a line if he wanted to and the patch hound has heart worms so if you want someone to be aware they need to be aware of buying dogs from Murl-Beagler because what you see is not always what you get and as far as everyone else who has posted on this subject if you don't know me then don't judge me

What is it any body elses business besides Murl Beaglers & Dennis McCaig's?

Well Dennis, You certainly have changed the way you felt about the dogs since the last time you got on here and posted about them, how you stated that I may have made a mistake selling Gator, because you said he was that good. I done my dealings with you and you should have made sure that the money was there, you made the mistake, now be man enough to exccept that. If you returned my pm's then why didn't you give me a call? My phone number was in the pm. or was it convient not to do that also? As far as me calling the name on the check, I did and was informed that you was to put the money in the account which you did not do. I believe you meant to stiff me to begin with, or else you would have at least picked up the phone and made contact with me about this. You can switch this topic around all you like, but the fact of the matter is that you didn't pay me and didn't make any effort to contact me about it, nor have you yet paid me.

Hey Howard thank you for the hounds it was worth the trip took the hounds out today and Peaches gave more mouth than i expected and Rambo done a fine job but it was worth the trip just to pick up Gator you might have let a good one get away from you. Thanks again

kybeagle, This is a concern to anyone who deals in dogs whether buying or selling. It is good to know if the person you are dealing with is honest or not

I have learned from experience don't take checks, get CASH in hand before dog leaves your site. In our beagling community we should be able to trust each other.

I'd say anything that is posted on a PUBLIC forum is just that public. If this was a private matter then the way to have handled it was by PRIVATE message. It appears that Murl-beagler wanted to notify the PUBLIC about this guy and I'm glad he did. It has the appearance that this guy is not trustworth nor does he speak the truth. Murl-beagler did an excellant job of proving him to be less than truthful by plastering his previous e-mail praising the dogs he'd just ripped off right under the one where he said they weren't worth anything. That's one thing now days with this internet a person can get caught at their own game and their name splattered all over in a matter of seconds.

I really don't care how many dogs you have sold Dennis, nor do I care how many checks you have bounced,. The point is, as you stated in your own post, he is the one that made the mistake and he is the one that made himself a liar one way or the other with his own post. So, as far as ruining his reputation, that is of his own doings. I was just hoping that noone else would get stiffed by making this post, as Redbird stated he was also trying to get a dog from him. I'll admit that I made a mistake accepting the check, and I will learn from it. Dennis stated that HE was the one that is sending the money order now after me making this post, however I recieved a call today from his girlfriends's mother stating otherwise. We'll see when and if I recieve it.
