How many of us beaglers will tell the truth and say that we have passed on certain dogs( some better than what we feed in our kennels) just because they were grade dogs. I know I have in the past but not any more. You see I am a meat man and papers dont put meat in my vest and in the past when I was worried about breeding and selling a few pups I would not even consider a grade dog no matter how good it was, but now I am looking to make my kennel better by adding the best hunting dog that I can find regardless of registration. The best dog that I have is a little dog my buddies call L.A. because they all say the former owner would tell you whatever you wanted to hear in order to sale the dog. Thanks L.A. that ole mut must have been listening to you. He thinks he is the best. Keep mixin them Heinz 57's and lets show alittle respect to the ole grade dog. Just curious to see how many others have felt the same way.

ROCKY TOP, I JUST HUNT, I DON'T TRIAL. I WOULD NEVER PASS UP A RABBIT DOG BECAUSE HE HAD NO PAPERS. IF HE CAN'T READ WHAT DOES HE WANT WITH PAPERS. I GO BY ABILITY, REGISTERED OR NOT IF HE CAN HANDLE A TRACK & JUMP, I'LL FEED HIM.

Hell I have 4 of the best dogs to ever sniff dirt here right now that would be considered grade dogs because I won't give AKC the money they want. I would NEVER pass on a good dog, papers or no papers. Who knows if the paperwork is right or not anyway 2, 4, maybe 5 generations back there might have been a crook in there that papered a grade dog anyway.............

The best dog I ever had was a grade dog.... now we have AKC,UKC and NKC titled dogs, even AKC Show Champions.
You are most likely to get what you want with proper breeding, but it is up to you to reg. the dog if you want. As we all know, Reg. dogs bring more money if you are into selling dogs.
