I feel the same way. I personaly believe who ever shot your dog is deserving of having the all air stomped out of his lungs at the least.

I feel exactly the same way. I was out running once and the dogs got close the hwy. I was just inside the brush when I heard a car get down on the gas really hard. I jumped out of the bushes into the road in time to throw my 20ga up into the windshield at the driver that was speeding up to run them over. He dragged brakes and turned around and hauled tail. I know if he had ran my dog(s) over at that instant I would have shot him without blinking twice. I hope you find who arrowed your dog.

In the past I shot bows like it was a religion. Just a tip if you are sure you want to find this guy. Take the shaft to all the local pro shops, most of your serious shooters shoot a coustomized arrow. It is kinda like a signature of the shooter. I would think before I took the law into my own hands, even though I couldn't really blame you if you did. That kind of stuff just flat sucks! Hope the dog is OK.

I guess I'm having trouble understanding the situation as described. Were you running on posted land you hunt all the time in which you had permission to do, were you running on posted land that you run on all the time without permission or did your dogs go onto adjacent posted land that you didn't have permission to run on? Just curious as to the actual scenerio. By the way hows the dog?

That would be one dead son of a bitch if I found him.
Or homeless which is easier to cover up.

I will bet anything he will be back in that same area at some point. If he hunts the same spot he may have a trail worn or has left his mark somehow. I would wait a while and sneek around the area. You may be able to spot him. What time of day was it? If it was the morning sneek in there early before daylight. You may catch him using a flashlight to get to his stand. Do the same in the evening. Set up in the general area and look for a light or catch him coming or going to his stand. I would definetly do some footwork and try and catch him. Also drive up and down the roads at ideal times like before sun up and after sundown. Like iSaid he will probably be back.
