Ya'll pray for our fellow forum member Caincutter. He lives just north of I 10 north of Biloxi. He's going to ride it out.
Another forum member Wallace lives in south MS also.
I live just South of Jackson and everything south of Jackson is closing down tonight/morning (even walmarts)! It looks bad, maybe that's all it will do is look bad.

God be with all of you in the Gulf states. Looks like New Orleans may get a direct hit as of right now.

Caincutter will not be back on line with us for several weeks maybe months. He is okay      !! Lost part of his home, but it's livable!! They will have a long road back to normal!!

I Live two hours off the coast and I just recieved my power today. Many people don't have water, phone or power!! My phone came on this morning and power at 1 pm today    !!

This is truely a humbleing experiance. No gas, no power, no water, no comunication/phone/tv/radio, NOTHING!! It has truely broken me down. In a blink of a eye God will/can remind us who's in control. If your not down here, say your thanks tonight in your prayers. It's truely a nightmare down here right now!

This has brought out the bad in some people and the best in most people!! I'm glad that I live among most people! Please remember those on the coast in ya'll prayers. My struggles are nothing to theres, I've prayed thankful that it's been as light on my family as it has!

Tony, glad to hear you guys made it out ok.....did any homes get damaged as far North as you? I have been thinking about coming down that way and bringing a roofing, siding and framing crew to do some work this winter....but not sure where the best area to go would be......I know I dont want to go to New Orleans and I have been told its hard to work in Florida because of strange codes.

Once again.....glad you are all ok and may all get well down that way as soon as possible. You guys are in our thoughts and prayers. Must be a sickening feeling to know you have just lost everything you worked for in life.....but I bet they are so glad to be alive that belongings mean nothing.

Take care,
Randy

I've spent some time in Gulfport myself with the Navy CB's. I took a course in "search and rescue". I loved it down there.
My prayers are with all of you and just watching it on the t.v. is making me grieve deep in my soul. I feel so helpless. Send what you can to these people folks. They are hurting.

Trent,
We made it ok, got some roof damage, trees down and didn't have electricity for 3 days but there are people within 3/4 of a mile from me who still don't have electricity. We are very thankful that Katrina took it as easy on us as she did. We had 1 death in our county due to a tree falling on a car. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone. Anyone who needs me to keep any animals for them can reach at 601-267-7751 or 601-562-0110 I have room for several dogs and a couple of horsesor if anyone just needs a place to stay, I don't have much but what I have you are more than welcome to come stay for as long as you need. Thanks Eric
