Puppy burning them up

Post by BAYOU »

My pup caught its own rabbit last week and was 2 days shy of being 3 months old. This morning I took him out and he flat burned them up! He ran 5 or 6 rabbits and just couldn't pick up the other two for what ever reason. He is using plenty of mouth but only after he has been on track for about 10 yards. One today I thought he was going to bring it back he was on it so long. It seems after about 50 or 60 yards he loses it or gets scared and he will come and find me. I took him out yesterday with a friend and his dogs which are older and he just romps and plays alot. I know he is a pup but when its just him he is more focused, I guess because of his attention span. He gets taken out 5 to 6 days a week, with plenty of yard work. My other 2 pups get worked also but they are a little behind since they are a couple of weeks younger. Sorry to be braggin but I think this newbie, lucked out.
