Does anyone own or know of anyone that owns a Owen's dog box? They look nice and are insulated, priced at $470 through Boards 4 Less on Rabbit Hunting Online. Fully diamond plated is what looks nice and also for duability.

Bayou, they will be running a full-page color ad in The American Beagler starting in August. I saw the boxes when Owens was set up at the Nationals. They have a unique feature in the top that makes them sturdier (they are kinda peaked like a tent - very slight, but effective) and allows for better rain run-off. They also come with bottom storage as an option.
You might check the coonhound boards for people that have them. I think they've been doing business with the cooners longer - the beaglers I think are a newer market for them.

I just got a new Owen's box and love it. Very well built box and it has plenty of room in the storage area and for the hounds. The locks work well and the latches are stout. The welding is good also, nice box.

Are all the boxes peaked or just some of the models, Bev? Also I am curious with the bottom storage units, does pee, rain and all the other elements find their way into the storage? With bottom storage units, do the rollers, guides wear out? If they do, what can a fella do then. I'm not a short person but I can see where stretching would get old but not if there were problems with bottom storage units. Trying to decide on a bottom or top storage.
