We took out 3 hounds yesterday hunting, The temps when we started was 2 above zero. It warmed up for us to a balmy 8 degrees. the wind was blowing pretty good but you know we hare hunters aren't real smart. the hounds ran quite well for the conditions. we harvested 1 snowshoe in about 2hours and missed several more. the wind really started blowing so we picked up the hounds and went home. We had alot of fun it was a new spot.
shot 3 cottontails yesterday over my 6 month old pups. Temp. was 3 and cloudy - windy. dew pt. was -7. tomorrows forecast is -9. I'm going to run the pups. with no snow it should be a pretty good test.
