thumbhunter,
I registered my CKC registered hound with AKC and I just had to supply a few pictures of him and a certified 4 generation pedigree and a noterized copy of his Canadian Kennel Club registration papers. I also registered an AKC female with the CKC and it went fairly smooth also, with her I also had to get her micro chipped.

Dennis told it like it is. I AKC registered two Brankos that came directly from them. The form is available from the AKC website. Mine were tattooed by the Krpans and that was okay back then (5 years ago?) but that may have changed. The first one was no problem. The second one took longer because the sire was co-owned and I was told that was why my CKC papers took so long to arrive. Once I got the CKC papers, the AKC registration was not a big deal. Good luck!

No problem as long as your listed as the buyer on the CKC form.
If the dog is sold once it is in the US, before it is AKC registerd then there is a problem.
It took me a couple months to straighten a mess like that out 3 years ago.
CKC or CKC?

Just a thought, but make sure the dog is registered with the Canadian Kennel Club and not the Continental Kennel Club. I have heard of dogs registered throught the continental kennel club and I don't think that AKC will recognize or accept that registration. Hope it works out for you!
God Bless, Dexter
PS. hopefully you already know this but it is better to find out now than later! Keep em running! Not trying to be negative, just giving a headsup to try and help out!
