Stereotype............HHMMMMM It makes me laugh

Please no bashing of any bloodlines, trial formats , or breeders.
With that being said why do people stereotype beagles so bad if they are from a certain bloodline, breeder or trial fromat?
For example
I run a U.B.G.F style of dog. People automatically think well his dogs dont hunt and they done have any foot speed. That may be the case in some dogs from that federation but not all.
Another example
Billy joe Jimbob from down the road runs Little Pack and Midwest. Well people automatically think well hes got those rough skirting dogs. That maybe the case in some dogs from that federation but not all.
Another example
I'm not going to name the breeder but his dogs are well known for pin point accuracy but people say they dont hunt. Most say you have to jump a rabbit for them. I've got 3 that are linebred to the max out of his bloodline and they hunt with the best of them. I've never jumped a rabbit for them!!!!!!!!!!!! The funny thing is they hunt better than a big name I mean big name breeders line that I have and that is what they are supposed to be known for is there hunt.
Another example
All of my dogs are A.K.C. registered. Well I ran with some guys that have there dogs U.K.C. registered. My A.K.C. dogs beat the snot out of them. So now they say those dogs arent any good.
I guess what I'm getting at is that some people see a couple of dogs run that are from a certain bloodline, trial format or whatever and they base there opinions that every dog that falls under those guidelines are like that. And then run around and tell it for the gospel.
So what are some of yalls opinions on this?
P.S. I did mention some formats for examples but how it is put together is not how I think just what popped in my head first.

as far as spo or ubgf dogs i have ran and judged ihave had 100 differnt dogs have judgfd 30 trails they dont hunt because they dont have to the gallery jumps the rabbits and they r bred for running style not hunt they got the rule that they read at every trail they got to hunt or u got to pick them up if they really done that they would have very few dogs

If you think that U.B.G.F. dogs dont hunt then you are more than welcome to come run with me anytime to see if they do or dont. I agree that there are good and bad in every bloodline and every trial format but to say that all the dogs do that is crazy.

There are several ways to evaluate dogs. My prefered way is to actually see the dog hunt and judge whether I like what I see. Another is to ask someone else who has seen the dog run what they think of the dog, hopefully I am asking honest people.
The third is the method you are describing. If I already have the dog and he just isn't measuring up then I make broad claims about other dogs so that in the minds of others it will bring better dogs down to the level of mine. I do not believe this to be a successful method for bettering the breed.
I have run dogs in most of the formats out there and have seen most of the bloodlines running and I would be proved a fool at alot of trials if I went in at the begining of the trial and made the broad statements that have been made about the format, bloodline, registry.

All I can say is there are some dogs out of certain bloodlines and/or certain registries that I would have to see them go before I would use them in my breeding program or invest in an individual dog. I am not naming names, I am just stating the way it is here in my kennels.

Thanks Tim H and Redtick for your input. I see it the same way that yall do. I just wished some were open minded about different things.

I've got UBGF bred dogs and yes they hunt. I've seen fast dogs that don't hunt so don't stereotype those, as the topic says. Don't believe me, come run behind my dogs and I'll show you.

Hey Swamper what kind of bloodlines do you run?

I've got several different ones here. Still trying to find one or two that I like and can build off of.
Currently, I have some Rob's Diamond II, lots of Stubby in several dogs, Blackcreek, Flat Creek, Gay and even some hare hound in a couple of mine.
One male is crossed between Diamond II and some other Buzz Saw breeding and the bottom is Thorn Gap. He is easy but he has plenty of hunt. His sire is FC Gunsmoke Hitchiker
Another male is linebred out of FC Bucks Branch Kalagha or should I say, Gay as he has Gay all over way back I believe. He has Kalagha on top and bottom and Kalagha is his sire.
All of my females have some sort of Stubby except the female from Southernbeagles, which is linebred and out of linebred Buzz Saw and linebred Littleman dogs. I think she has around 4 champion brothers and sisters as well as being out of the 2000 PP HOY (her dam) and her sire is a PP champ with something like 8 wins in champion class.
I have another that is a granddaughter of FC Snake Creek Dominator and her bottom is Blackcreek if I am correct. I saw Dominator run and lucked up on getting her. Her sire finished second in a PP trial, behind Dominator who won it. Verdict is still our but she is doing fine right now and has plenty of hunt.
Another female is almost solid stubby, she does lack some hunt but I'll never breed her. She is a solid pack dog that is trash broke and behaves really good. I see no need to sell her at this time.
I've also got two males that are grade, one of which I'll put down with anyone. He ain't fast but he hunts his butt off and can run plenty of rabbit.
I have two 1/2 hare bred females and they run like hare dogs. Loose cannons that can't hold a line and in these briars and pines, ain't good. lol They gonna be good dogs but their roughness keeps me from running them with my other dogs so they gotta go.
I'm thinking of crossing my Kalagha male with my Buzz Saw/Littleman female and see what I get. I know what those Littleman dogs throw and I've heard what Kalagha dogs throw so it might be a good cross.
I don't mind stomping around for bunnies as I enjoy it but my dogs jump plenty of rabbits while I'm on the roads.

This Topic is probably aimed at me, for saying bad things about brace dogs. Though i was talking about traditional Walkie talkie brace dogs.
I have a friend who runs Little Man dogs. They are great dogs, just a notch slower than I like. i just sold a gunsmoke female to him that was a little too slow.
I was never talking about good medium speed dogs that hunt. They are probably better Gundogs than what I have.

Hey Mike,
This topic was not aimed at you at all. It wasnt aimed at anyone. LOL I cant remember your post about the brace dogs. I'm sorry if you felt like it was aimed toward you. The reason why I posted this was just talking to different people whether it was by phone, emails, at trials or in chatrooms.
Hey swamper I wouldnt mind giving you a call sometime. You have some bloodlines that I am interested in.

I have several UBGF dogs in my kennel as well, a few of them have placed in PP......and I enjoy running them all just the same. They are out of Right Stuff Billy Boy. They like to hunt and are clean.....a tad slower than my other dogs, but still a lot of fun to run.
Is Gunsmoke Hitchiker still around? Last time I seen that dog was when Larry Mac owned him, I watched him run several times at there kennel and he sure was a nice clean hound.
Where do UBGF people trial dogs? How do you know if a trial is UBGF or traditional Brace?
I would like to go watch sometime.
Thanks and take care.
Randy
