TN Hunters Wake Up

Post by Plow »

The land at the Knoxville lakeshore TWRA project is about to get taken away from public use & developed. Yes TVA condemned the land some years back for public use. The TWRA has planted food plots & allowed small game hunting, dog training & bird watching & even a public walking track. I forget how many acres but it is good size & is hunted by many. Now the TVA is trying to do what it did at Tellico, revolking the TWRA lease & selling to big money developers for Condo & town houses & golf course for more retired out-of-state people to take over! I talked to them all & Only one representative that cares what we say & that is Jimmy Duncan, Lamar Alexander laughed at me when I called him. ( I wish I could find out who keeps re-electing him) Call or e-mail TVA & Duncan to let them know this is wrong! I don't see how this keeps happening, land gets taken away from the owners by condemnation for public use & then in 10 or 12 years gets sold for development.

Hey Cuz,
I know you pain.It will take all of us sticking together + alot of prayer.
You and I both know big money talks.
Here's a thought you should run for public office.I for 1 think you would
be as good or better than what we have here now.
I've already shot e-mails to the elected officals and TVA and I'll keep doing it every couple of days.

Terry,

Deer hunting with dogs in South Carolina is going down hill fast as you know. This issue started from a plantation owner just outside of Georgetown on the black river. Needless to say he is a multi-millionair and from way out of state. He has e-mailed me personally and told me it is his mission to eradicate deer huntig with dogs. International paper has even kneeled down to him to some exstent because of holding them liable.
He has been caught for shooting dogs and pays the fine like its nothing.
Just across the sampit river in Georgetown they have started a community called Harmony Hill. When it`s finished it will hold as many as ten thousand people Harmony hill exsecutives claim. This was some of the best deer land in the low country and now it`s gone. Instead of deer dogs getting ate by gators now it will be poodles! lol.
Two weeks ago i got a phone call that said i could no longer hunt a 800 acre piece of family property that i have been hunting for thirty five years that i had spent countless hours in food plots and lespadesa fields for rab bits and deer. To me that was like a death in the family. One of the family members husbands was the culprit.
Being the hardheaded person i can be i tried to fix things on my own without talking to god. It took this death in the family to put me on my knees. After one week of all this happening i got a pnone call from Mount Pleasant Plantation asking if i would do a guide hunt for them with my hounds. After hunting the care keeper was well pleased and asked if i would do more guide hunts for them. He also gave me permission to hunt over three thousand acres of prime habitat. Terry this is the hard part i had to take. The plantation owner is from (OUT OF STATE.) Do like Randy said and pray it works!

P.S. If you can find the time to come down south you are welcome anytime.
