Starting pen/conditioning

Post by Chase'em Down »

I have noticed quite a few take their seasoned trial dogs to 4-5 acre starting pens that are loaded with rabbit's to get them ran up before a trial... Does this really help the dog or could it truly hurt the hound and pick up bad habits as I've heard a few say??

4 to 5 acre pen is a puppy pen.no way I`d be training seasoned dogs in a pen that small. Training in the wild is the only way to go. jmo.
