Six month old "Poodle" can run in snow, 23 degrees F.

Newt is that saposed to show me something?
1/4 inch of brand new snow :D.

Get that cam out an show me something. Snow to there neck,or solid crust,or ice that the rabbit runs a crossed and then the dogs are breaking through. If u want to impress me than less see them dogs run on clear ice with no snow. A frozen swamp or lake. ;)

what I got out of the movie was tired.

I didn't put it on there for you. It was a joke for Conroe. I know not to try and impress perfection.

I would have to travel eight or ten hours to get those pictures. Go ahead and post yours.
I've seen beagles, on the Hare board, chasing rabbits with snow up to their neck and maybe deeper. I've been to LPH Trials and marveled at the endurance those hounds have, so I'm not a doubter.
I also know there are very few dogs that will run a rabbit, cottontail or hare, in the conditions that you have described. Maybe you have cornered the market.

My best dogs do cold trail some. My hotter nose dogs learn to work with them as a team. This clip was shot around noon. I had just turn the dogs loose and they started cold trailing. I have no Idea how old this track is.

Thanks for the offer but we seldom have ice and little snow here so I guess I don't need those super dogs, the poodles do just fine. That cold trailing would be unacceptable. Once global cooling starts I'll get in touch.

I hear guys talking about dogs have to adjust to running on snow. I have never found that to be true and we have run several blood lines over the years. The thing is all our dogs cold trail before the rabbit is up. Some days you may want to pull your hair out but the thing is we don't have to pick days to go out. I think it comes down to can you tolerate the cold trailing or do you just want to be able to run on good scenting days? Depends on what day you ask me.
