Best BloodLine To Have In Your Kennel

S.R I was greenstick in beagling at the time, and just went on what my uncle said. I never did see his pedigree when he bred him to see if his name was in red. All I know is this is fact know. So at least people can have closer on the very few patch hounds I have seen. Not that my opinion is better than the next. I only judge hounds on what is see, because, handlers are sometimes to wraped in there kennel and evey thing they have is the best thing since sliced bread. There is nothing wrong with being that way, except you can't always see the dogs that are truly beating you. It sometimes even blinds us to there faults. You can't improve or fix something, you might not think is broke.

We all have different qualities about a line of dogs that we like or dislike, but everybody that feeds a dog wants it to hunt. Good and bad in all lines I think that we all get into pissing contests sometimes over which bloodline is better than the others, I havent seen as many dogs as most expert beaglers on here but I think that the best bloodline to have is the one that satisfies the owner. We all kinda have our favorites but there are good dogs in every bloodline and there are bad dogs too. Sometimes kennel blindness can do more harm than good as far as reproducing to better the breed. JMO

Will, I agree. I am trying to get people to put good things about well qualified hounds so they can breed to the best that we have. There is a format the fits someone. People have not put enough stuff about the bitches. It is proven that we are as only good as they woman standing next to you. For real, the bitches in the pedigree to me, is the foundation. They sometimes get over looked. Was the female a hard hunter, clean, fast ect. You really need to have 2 great halves to make a awesome whole. A bloodline is what it says. A line of dogs on both sides to make up a female and male. People need to keep improving the lines with the best of the best in each format. Go out and watch some of these dogs we hear about that are doing great. I have watched some of the best dogs in the world go at it AKC. I have seen some field champions that I have really liked, and some not so much. The key is I WATCHED THEM ALONG THE WAY, to being a field champion. That is the only way to improve what you run.
