Extending unemployeement benifits???

No im not going to go out here and get a job making what i can make in unemployment that would just be plumb ignorant. now if i could find a job making more hey lead me the way.. So for some people thats talked about young people being lazy and drawing there unemployment and not trying to find a job, thats fine but ud do the same darn thing if you couldnt make more than what u draw. I never asked to get layed off and loose my job, so im not going to ask the president to keep sign unemployment bills to give me more money..

If you are the future of our country it scares the hell out of me. But what else should I expect, you have been educated and carefully spoonfed information to make you believe the way you do. Get-Er-Done? You are to be pitied son.

like most people in this country i have a job. i work, they pay me. i pay taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. in order to get that paycheck in my case, i am required to pass a random urine test (with which ihave no problem). what i do have aproblem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a drug test. so hhere is my question. shouldn't one have to pass a drug test to get a welfare check because i have to pass one to earn it for them? can you imagine how much money would be saved if you had to pass a drug test to get food stamps, welfare check, unemployment benefits, medicaid?

It's plain and simple. All the money handed out comes from taxes. Everyone sitting back drawing a check thinks what they are collecting is what they've paid in. Not true, if u only collected what you paid in you'd be looking for a new job alot sooner. So the extra you collect is coming from we the people who get up and go out to work, rain or shine, night or day and sacrific our time with family and doing the things we'd like to do.

for the drug test opinion----what ya do then when 75% of the folks(just a number,may be less,may be more)on welfare,unemployment social security bust out on the test.
first it would add 10's of millions to test them all---taxpayers cost.
then when they bust out--what ya do then,let them starve in the streets?loot stores for food?steal from your home to get shelter,food etc.when they riot in the streets and destroy everything in their paths,whos gonna pay for that ---insurance companies,taxpayers etc.it probably is best to let them party it up.it really isnt that attractive of a life style to me,maybe those who complain think they are living large on their puny taxes they are paying

i think your better off letting them live on the program--do you really want a co-worker who is highed up next to you all day putting your life,company in jeprody?-you want him to be the guy holding the stop sign on the highway crew.building your home?letting your kids cross the streets?
o wait they probably are but they arent on welfare or the other programs

besides their are dozens of ways to pass a screen test-i work with plenty of guys who pass,when they know they are hot.

I gotta kinda gotta step in this, you can go to UK and go to the denistry dept basically for greenies and get ur teeth cleaned at a fraction of the price and same is true with drug test, i actually ckd it out and its in the range of around 10 bucks. As far as thats concerned i would rather spend a 1000 bucks testing than give a 1000 to a loser.And once again i am speaking welfare not unemployment even though it could nbe implamented, welfare is a fu----- joke in my eyes it abused and misused. but the bastards vote so what ya gonna do, as far as looters i honestly have no problem pulling the trigger one somebody stealing from me, sorry but thats how i fill . i tell you what pisses me off.Thare is a guy that got layed off at are job {worthless} him and is girlfriend have three kids she gets 500+ a month in food stamps and a check they got back over 9 grand back in taxes.he works under the table and brags about bringing home over 800 a week.by the way they are on vacation.i dont have no faith in are system

Gentlemen all you have to do is look to Greece to see how well socialism works out.

Its easy to turn a blind eye when your house is in order and everything seems well. Yeah you can see that the government is spending like crazy, but hell the games on ESPN tonight. But here is the deal I have been to socialist / former communist countries that imploded and the inflation gone insane. Imagine all the savings and everything you worked for has become worthless, because the currency is no good, inflation making it worthless. Well while you sit around the TV drinking a cold delicious beer watching your favorite team your children and grandchildren are truly being spent into oblivion.

He!! I didnt expect it on here but we even got guys bragging about sucking up the governments money for going on two years as it would be "ignorant" to work for it. Calling themselves go-getters!!!!!!! LOL!!!! Dont you see how far America is slipping. Some people NEED to be made to work or they WILL take the easy way out. Then they bring up kids the same way, and they bring up their kids the same way with NO SELF RESPECT!!!!!! It is a cancer. Unemployment was never meant to become a back door welfare system. And the only reason these politicians give away money is to own you!!!!!

Most of the signers of the constitution were either killed or lost everything for freedom, now we have a society ready to sell it back for a handout. George Washington suffered miserably to serve as general in the Revolutionary War. He was rich and could have stayed comfortable and safe in his very wealthy estate. Instead he risked it all, went almost broke to serve. He also could have been made king!!!!!!!! He was revered, but he walked away from the Presidency at the end of his term to preserve the constitution and democracy. Thank God he or the troops who starved and froze at Valley Forge didnt think it was "ignorant" to fight and work for our freedom. Thank God they didnt take decide to fold tents get to a warm fire sit around and collect unempoyment for 99 plus weeks, HE!! we would still be drinking tea.


Just think about this the next time you crack that beer in your cozy home not wanting to deal with the problems being heaped on us by this out of control government and a society of takers. THE TAKERS ARE GROWING AND ONE DAY THEY WILL TAKE YOURS>

You know what kills me about this post as it goes on and on...and on? It is how many of you people have so little empathy for your fellow man. There always have been and always will be abusers to any system but, fact is, most people want to work and are willing to do so. I asked before and I will ask again, where are the christians among you? Instead of crying foul and telling us your hard working stories, why not reach out a hand to those in need. Instead of telling us what is so wrong with the system and decrying those who are legitimately trying to help, why not try a little encouragement and sympathy. In many ways, the negativity and anger displayed on here has run its course. And, IMO, most of us are tired of it.

Our greatest enemy is the one we fight within ourselves.
I been working with a boy, but the selfishness within himself won't let him do the right thing. He says it bothers him, but not bad enough yet, his actions betray his words.
He doesn't understand, he can go far and feel better about himself at the same time if he will only cast off the demon that has hold on him.
Some get it, some never do...
Most people realize, some stir emotion on these boards for their own personal agenda, it's what most of the media is about today. The fear someone's going to take something from you kills the emotion of charity and kindness to others.
It takes levelheadedness and common sense to not allow yourself to be stampeded by fear herd mentality...
