Re: Someone help me understand!
i only read the first couple post on this but would like to share a experiance i had.
Some friends and i were going to a LP trial and it got raind out.
so we went to a Local trial at this brand new club. New club house ,new running pen, new everything. thay had off the ground kennels lined up. it was a sight to see.
anyway i knew they would be slow-er.
BUTT....
this was the same kind of dog they all had.
But ya know what:
Even tho,... they knew we had speed deamons in the truck. and we did not fit in with them
( they were all 70 years old and up. and one or 2 was pack'in oxygen)
they took us in, fed us , took the time out of thier trial day to visit with us .
took us out in the field with them and had someone walk us around and explain everything going on.
they told me other faster hounds run sent, could be a line, could be air senting.
he explained that thiers smell every foot print.
i could only take about 20 min's of it.
but they was just as excited about telling us about thier dogs
as we are when we talk to other hounds people about ours.
they seen us off, wished us safe travel and told us to come back anytime.
What a great example of houndsmen they were.

Not really sure what your point is there? I dont believe anyone demonized the people running this way? I'm sure alot of them are great guys.
Take your kids huntin and you wont have to hunt for your kids.
