I hear Blazer is the real deal and if John bred to Blazer with Lick in his back yard he must be able to shag a rabbit pretty good.

matt i won't need them, because you will never see me at a arha trial. i've tried them dogs are a little to ruff for me. not knocking them just not my style. not saying any thing bad about your dog either, he's probly a nice dog, i would'nt know never seen him run, all i was saying its about stud dogs and to me you don't find out if they are a good stud dog until they are about dead. because it takes time and getting the pups out there for everyone to see. and now with the internet everybody thinks they have a stud dog.

With the internet I can describe myself as a stud instead of a dud.

I am keeping my eye on that Red River Runner male glomski's owns. I am liking him. I have a nice little 12" female named daisy I'm scouting her a man for my next future litter.

I dont think you can go wrong here! A dog that has proved himself in the field, has produced several pups that are currently placing in the hunts and he is still fairly young. I know of a couple Runner pups that are still young but are looking like they will be making some noise in the trials in the next year or two.

Good choice. When and if you breed to Runner ask Matt to take you to Sterlings running grounds. That place isn't for the weak.

I like the fact that he is a 13" male. My bitch is small too but can run at a fairly decent pace. I want to try and create small fast beagles that hate a rabbit. I just like that idea. I like big dogs too and have two 15"males my little daisy can keep up with them just fine. She's getting older and I'd like to get a pup out of her for myself as her replacement.

Guys I thought about starting another post but with all the stud suggestions on here
and no doubt some super hounds , a question came to my mind .

How many litters 2 year old up is on the ground from each of these hounds ? How many
pups from these stud hounds have Champion titles ? not what's going to be a champion.

I'm not talking about just good hounds , I'm wanting to know which stud is already showing
himself to produce competition style Champion hounds at a young age in comparison to the
ammount of litters he has on the ground .

Before someone comes on and says there's no difference in a rabbit dog and a trial dog
I'll agree in some cases . However if it wasn't for the competition a $2,000.00 dog would
be cost about $250.00 . I'm not downing trials either , I think trials are a big help in most
cases to the beagle community . I'm just stating my opinion as clearly as possible .
Without trying to start an argument .

If this post offends anyone PLEASE PM me and say why , I will quietly delete it or fix it to
better suit you ...

Maybe i read way too deep into it but Reggie has produced per capital more titled hounds than most. I also thank that when a dog is bred that much odds begin too work in there favor. Think about it if dog a breeds 200 bitches and at least one turns out then there ya go.I vote Reggie.

Grand Rabbit Champion Coleman's Roll On Buddy has produced 2 Grand Champion's and about 12 Champions that I can think of. I don't think he's been breed to alot either for those numbers.

Jimmy , that's why I asked how many litters were on the ground and thier age as well .
I know some has probably been bred a couple hundred time but I was looking for statistics
or percentages on thier producing power . I know as far as ammount of Champiion hounds
on the ground no one could compare a dog that has been bred 3 time to one that has been
bred 300 , that's why we have to go with the best percentage .

To Judes question I would have to say Shooter has to be at the top of the list. Riverland Black Ice has two or three dogs on the podium every weekend in the Michigan large pack circut as well.
