I am new to this, but I was curious to why joeyman's dogs were squinting after that tough run? Also, what is cold trailing? Thanks. Great looking dogs joeyman.

They were squinting because they were asleep standing up and they were running through the weeds the pollen is tough on them cold trailing is when a dog barks on old scent not a huge deal but it gets annoying

Cold trailing is no big deal? What then if your hunting hard allday and you just cant find a rabbit then your dog strikes the "COLD TRAIL", runs it all the way up and down and all around, say for 45min. or more while your standing there wating for the rabbit and come to find out "THE RABBIT IS IN HIS HOLE SLEEPING". What then, but cold trailing is no big deal remember.

Oh and to Top it off my Family is ALL from MO (Mnt Grove) and I live in KY tranplanted from Oregon Aint no Wonder I am Confused!!!!!!!!!
I have met a lot of the MO Boys And most of the Ky fellas and have even trialed With the Train and Yall Seemed just fine to Me
Any Time Anybody has a Doubt about any of em Runnin For more than an Hour just Come on up!!!!!

The 1hr little pack dog comment sure did work. I only said that because the Ky boys called us Missouri Mouseketeers.......lol boy did it fire everyone up.....lol I know they can last longer I only said it to make you's mad and it worked.....lol


we ran em hard last night. Give me a sec to post video. my pup is doing good. will turn 5months old Oct 10th. We fired 12g blanks and she wan't afraid at all.

here is where we ran last night. Running was decent not the best in the world but they kept it going. I little ruff sometimes if You ask me part of it was we started 6pm and most rabbits ran were half grown tiny looking things and they ran funny. some circles and kept weaving in an out of thick briars. daisy come out with a bloody tail last night.

i got a 1hr runner i let you guys hunt all day and run her in the last 15 mins and kill more than all of you lol right neways i dont knowyou guys take this stuff to serious i just started goin to trials im a gun hunter and a trialer cant we all jsut live in peace...and by the way i love a cold trailing dog nothing better than a dog that tricks into thinking somethings goin down it gets you all excited and your blood boiling.....just remember to tell your buddies you saw the rabbit so they dont catch on....i actually prefer to freeze all my rabbits through out the season and save em up till i get enough of them then i take em out and defrost em to take pictures....there i think i talked crap to everone of you guys can i be a part of this thread now...
