Bev,
If this is going to be a bashing of a hound that has some GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENTS..then maybe this forum should be locked. Seems like too much jealousy and envy going on here. This is not a personal subject. This was supposed to be an opinion only question. I do not agree with bashing a hound for any reason. If you dont like the hound's abilities then say so..but be objective. And if you are in favor of the hounds or line in question...accept the fact that someone out there might not like what you like. This is not a personal matter. Remeber the hound cannot step up to the keyboard and defend itself and run its mouth like some are doing. The hound just runs the rabbit...the only way it knows how.
We all know that hounds fit in differently in various formats and areas of the country. Let the hounds record speak for itself and for the hound. After all...that is the only defense that a hound has. It is his ability to run the rabbit the best that it can.

Enjoy your hounds and if you can...enjoy others as well.

there probably has been Hounds that finished in all three formats.. If so I was not aware of it and thank you for bringing it to my attention.. Your right that tank was exposed to a high degree... I know from the people that sompeted against him he was a good hound...As far as bashing other folks hounds We all should respect one another not everyone likes the same type dogs... However there has propably been folks that send a below average hound to breed to tank and expect the pups to be grands....

I have read this discussion, all 4 pages, with amusement. As funny as I am it takes a lot to amuse me, too. Lonewolf asked an honest question and very posts have given him any answers. Thank you Merv for having quite a level head. Post more often! All the discussion about this obviously great hound hasn't included anything about the dam's contribution about pups. Tank gives 1/2 the genetics. Not 99%, not even 51%. HALF! If you breed Tank to junk, chances are that you will get some junk. To those of you who pay stud fees to breed to any female you have that may have come into heat, take the problems that YOU created for yourself some where else. I don't know Dan Brinsky, never saw Tank or any of his pups run, don't really even have a place in this discussion, but I figured that there were enough uninvited guests that are throwing their 2 pennies in here I may as well shoot a couple myself. I am a substitute teacher of late. Some of you sound like the 3rd graders I taught Friday. I know I normally am much more soft-spoken on this board than I am now, but gee whiz guys, listen to yourselves. Mr. Brinsky has a fine hound that throws fine pups. I would love to have one out of a respectable female. I don't, but I'm not going to find any fault that I can imagine about the hound bacause of this. Guys, life is too short. Congratulations to all who have gotten over and matured beyond "nyah nyah my dog is better'n your'n.!" Have a good weekend all.

Dan Brinsky has proved all he needs to prove with his hounds. He's a beagler with a lot of class and wouldn't waste his time on junk. I've seen Ryan's Dusty hound perform and he doesn't need to prove any more, either. I've seen hounds from Tank win the ARHA PP High Point Hound of the year. No dog is perfect, but I think Ramey said it best; the sire can only give half. The thread is locked.
