dog prices

Post by B.Trull »

Jumpin in real late on this but folks this is a hobby, sport, rabbits are rodents for pete's sake. The reason beagles shouldnt be high priced are numerous

1) not dangerous game, chances of losing hound like running bear, cougar HMMMMM !!! gee no mountains to fall off, rabbits dont eat beagles and such

2) Not alot of prize money involved to help with the overhead

3) Not really any return, much cheaper to kill a deer for meat than 50 rabbits, no hides, skins of appreciable value

4) Sure beagles can sniff out termites but post 9/11 we need more dobermans, shepards and such much more valuable animals in scheme of things

This is a hobby. I am glad so many can appreciate and enjoy this but folks, we all knows hounds people are low folks on totem pole. Look at what the average hounds folk truck looks like compared to a bird dog hunters vehicle. Look ,be honest ,you trial folk cant even agree how a hound is suppposed to run a rabbit or there would be so many different formants ( read this is why it is a hobby ). Enjoy your little foxhounds and such, but 600 US $ for a beagle pup. No way
