Re: devastated again
Sorry to hear that Preacher - we have all been there at one time or another! I guess if we did not get so attached to some, our hobby would not be worth doing at all. Don't sell out too quickly! Just take a while off first. Remember, time helps as does new memories. Hang in there Ricky!
Re: devastated again
Sorry to hear about your lost Red. I got to hunt with them a couple of times and I will say they were real dogs. I got some vedio of them, if you would like a dvd, I will send you one.
Keep working with your young dogs and next year you will be shooting at bunnies again.

Sorry to hear it Red, seems like only yesterday when you came & bought Spirit, sorry to hear about Chief also, I always thought he was the hardest hunter in that litter when I trained them. Time sure flies , holler if anything I can do.

PREACHERS,KENNEL wrote:yea swamp that be good all i got is young dog right now unless i find an older dog which probably wont happen lol. 2 yrs and under ...
i remeber spirit leaveing your dogs on that rabbit she ran to a hole lol.
sry to hear about ole jack ..i kinda liked him .. i hear you got a few more dogs now .
i know a guy fixin to have some patch pups i can hook you up if you want swamp ...
She ran to a hole alright. lol That was the day you FORGOT TO LOAD YOUR GUN!
My dogs still don't like you for that.
I'll pass on the Patch pups. No need to "patch" together a pack when I got a good pack now. IF them young dogs need some teaching, I got a kennel full of qualified teachers to help them. Tutoring sessions aren't cheap though.

Rick, it's part of the game. They won't live forever. I realized that 10 years ago. Only had three good ones pass in the last 7 years. Boy were they good ones. Doubt I'll ever own another dog as talented as buck. Deer hunt in the fall and rabbit hunt in the winter. Well, as long as no deer were around. lol
Give ol Dan a call. I see he's back. We need to get together this year. I got 1000's of acres in TN if you are up to it.
