Murder? Slaughter? Are we talking about rabbits or people?

Shame on you for using those words to describe our sport of rabbit hunting. You sound like a PETA member.

And besides, if someone is hunting within the laws of the State they are hunting in, be they locals or outa towners, who has the right to bash them. I'm sure the locals dont mind these people when they pile into the gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, and hotels.

Also, if someone has problems enough to get 50-100 damage permits from the state for their property who cares? The key words are: "their property". Its their lively hood being ruined. Maybe they used to allow hunting until the few ruined it for the many. Can you blame them?
I agree 100% Buckeye as long as the out of towners are willing to hunt their own spots at home too. And some should realize that not everyone is lucky enough to have an abundance of rabbits to hunt so they may have to travel to shoot a few. And as for anyone piping off about guys coming to "your" area to hunt and killing as many rabbits as they can, what's wrong with that. Have you ever went to "someone else's lake" and brought back your limit of bluegills? Because I know I have. I've also gone fishing just for fun and done catch and release. See most of us guys just love to run dogs and I guess our version of catch and release is to just not shoot the rabbit and there's nothing wrong with that. But I'm also not going to get down on someone that likes to eat rabbit and decides to take game for the supper table. As long as they are within the laws I really don't mind and it's just another reason to find private lands to hunt on for us.

When I first got into this I was a rabbit killing machine. Jump shooting and whatever it took to put a rabbit in my sack. Since I decided to get my own dogs I still kill rabbits but I don't shoot every one that I see anymore but again that's a personal choice. Some people go through that phase and come out of it and some people don't.

As for dumping in too close to someone, yep that would burn my butt too but the bad part is there are a lot of inconsiderate people out there and it never hurts to safely and as politely as you can let them know.
