For all of you who think their mistake is your advantage, would you feel the same way if it was the other way around. What if they overcharged you but you didn't notice right away? Would you just say "Oh, well, my mistake, their gain" or would you go right back to the store and tell them they needed to straighten it out?
Someone comes to buy a dog from you for $150 and they give you 2 $100 bills, you go to give them change but your talking about how great the dog is and how happy they'll be so you accidentally give them 1 $100 bill back rather than the $50 you thought you did. You realize when you get back in the house what happened. I'm sure you're not going to get on the phone and call them before they get too far down the road, right? However, if your the one buying the dog from someone on this board, we can expect you to be heading down the road as quickly as you can and probably not answering the cell phone or even if you would answer the phone then anyone on this board should expect that you're going to say "your mistake is my gain".

That is not even close to the same. If they would have said the collars should have been $200 and you gave them nothing, then that is wrong. If you give me a $10 bill and I give you nine ones, I would find you and make it right. And I would expect the same. If you tell me you want five one dollar bills for the ten, and you know you are giving me a ten, I say thanks. If I buy a dog from you for $200 and sell it for $400, should I find you and give you the extra $200 dollars? We all buy based on what the price is. If I can buy BrandX dog food for $25 a bag from WallyWorld, and it is $40 a bag from PetHole, is that ripping them off? Is using coupons from Purina that everyone doesn't get ripping them off? Is taking from my paycheck to pay someone on welfare ripping me off? Well, yes, that one is. Is taking a free sample from a dog food company or a sponsorship for your website ripping someone off? No. You get what you want for the price they charge you. Whether it is $4 a gallon gas, or a collar and video for $14.

I'm not going to bash anyone here, but if the company makes a mistake, they make a mistake. If someone capitalizes on it so be it. It should come out of whoever made the mistake's pocket. I am sure they get paid for what they do. In this situation, I'm sure his uncle thought he would just try it. I'm sure most of us who saw that ad would have done the same. Now the person who bought a tool for a buck and went back in for another one, that is ballsy. I think the lesson here is don't make mistakes, and when you do, as i'm sure the person who advertised the collar for $0.00 did or will, learn from it and don't do it again. By the way, if I bought a dog for 150, and the guy screwed up on the money, I would absolutely correct it and not run down the road with my cell phone off. Best not to burn bridges that you might want to use again. I don't know Danny at all, but he sure is takin some crap over just something he wanted to share with everyone as a can't believe it story.

I'm beginning to see how Obama got elected. Alot of people looking to get something for nothing and thinking that some entity out there called "corporate America" should supply it to them. Let's see how that works out for this country.

I don't know Tim H but if I remember correctly corporate America has ran out with their pockets full of the companies cash in the past several years, including employees retirement funds. Enron just popped up in my mind and the price of fuel keeps right on lining the pockets of the big oil companies.
Oh yeah, I'm just starting to see that ALL of us taxpayers are having to bail out the mortgage corps when they loaned people money to purchase a home at a cost they themeslves should have been smart enough to know they couldn't afford. Seems quite elementary to me to be able to understand that a mortgage payment of $3,000 per month does not a $15.00-$20.00 an hour job make. For the past several years I've been in conversations with others asking how in the world is this many $250,000+ homes being sold with the number of jobs lost and the wages of those that there are, now we see the answer. This may in fact be a total Walstreet minipulation so as to make the economy appear to be better than it actually has been in years. You probably have seen why Obama got elected as he has been intelligent enough to be able to see that his size 9 foot don't fit into a size 6 shoe AND he can spell the word SHOE!

Well the way I see it is if he did wrong there will be someone else to judge him, as I recall Jesus once said that whoever is without sin let him cast the first stone. I guess what I'm saying is that we all have done stuff wrong so who are we to judge

T Hynes, that argument can be used to justify every behavior under the sun.
Not that any of these are a comparison to what we are talking about but to illustrate the weakness of you position.
If someone robs someone else then you have to be sinless to call it wrong.
If someone commits murder then you have to be sinless to call it wrong.
If a friend of yours is cheating on his wife then you would have to be sinless to tell him it is wrong.
It is really sad to see how many people would take the time to read this thread and then choose to defend taking advantage of someone to get a dog collar.
I guess you all see it as the honorable thing to do and worthy of your defending it and I am wrong for not seeing it as honorable.

Tim H , i rarely take part of posts like this but i will today. i agree with everything you have posted. fact is nobody even knows if the origanal post is even true. i have read a lot of posts on here involving Danny V. I dont know him but seems a lot of contraversy follows this man around. people seem to feed off this kind of thing & usually he is in the middle of it all.if i`m not mistaken it wasn`t to long ago that he was banned from here for awhile.. he might be on ok guy & probably is but i take most of this with a grain of salt. as you can see no site has been produced as yet.
anyway Tim, we will have to get together some time & run hounds, im not far from you. 1 1/2 hrs north.

Who says anyone is honorable? Who says there has to be someone right and someone wrong? If you dont like it, you have said your peace......now live with it. I really doubt if what you think is going to change many of our minds.....I dont see it as stealing and you do, that doesnt mean one is honorable or dishonorable(is that a word?)......... it's just simply we disagree. Thats all.Tim H wrote:T Hynes, that argument can be used to justify every behavior under the sun.

I personally think it would take a fool to not pay the asking price. Thats like me going and looking at a home that appraises for $160,000 but the people are asking $100,000.......are you really going to tell them they are asking less than it should be and give them and extra $60,000? You cant honestly say you would, none of us would!! It isnt my responsibility to babysit other peoples problems....I cant take care of my own.
Re: hear ye,hear ye,vansickle bashathon, come one come all
For one I didn't say I was defending him, and two the Lord says vengeance is mine, so if the Lord feels what he did was wrong he will take care of it, he also says you need to get the log out of your own eye before you worry about the sliver in anothers eyeTim H wrote:T Hynes, that argument can be used to justify every behavior under the sun.
