a smart hound can find a rabbit, he don't boohoo on the tract or over run it badly he's just smooth, he can figure out you're ready to go home when you're screaming, knows you're rabbit hunting not deer or coyote.
sometimes he's too smart and comes to a gunshot. with this said, i've just realized i'm feeding a pen full of idiots. :shock:

Ok heres one for ya Does this show Brains?????
I have a Dog that has started Pretty Good A little older than I like to start em but with the movin and Showin and the like he just never got out much Anyways he is runnin pretty Good now BUT the other day we were out in a Grassy Field along a Ditchline he was Checkin Grass piles or Bunches anyways he jumps one up SITECHASE!!!!! Ran it pretty good for awhile then Lost it Ok he comes back out in the field and starts JUMPIN On GRASS PILES goes along for about 30 min Checkin Piles BANG another Site chase!!!!
Runs it till a loss about 15 min or So OK you guessed it back to the Grass piles LOL Was Funny as heck Watchin him jump up and down on this pile then that one on and on AND i BE Danged he Gets ANOTHER GOIN!!!!! :shock:
Anyhow EVER time i take him out now all he wants to do is Jump on Grass piles if i put him in the thick stuff he will hunt but if he dont get one up in a few its back to the GRASS piles again Jumpin up and down on em!!!! :roll:
I guess he just figured its Easier gettin em outa the grass than the piles!!!!
